Synopsis
Pierre is an aging Parisian ex-gigolo turned writer, increasingly preoccupied with the life that has slipped away from him. As his longtime partner and one-time john dies and the “last” will goes missing, Pierre comes face to face with the reality of his situation – and the ruthless nature of the world he inhabits. His last resort is his psychologist as he finds himself alienated from both his shrinking group of similarly aging friends and the youth-obsessed world of the Pigalle and Marais that he used to inhabit. Director Nolot, who also takes the starring role, paints a starkly realistic, yet quietly touching picture of what it means to age in a gay subculture, and pulls no punches in his portrayal of rent boys, living by yourself, uncertainty, memory and our relevance as we get older.
