In South Africa hate crimes are escalating in the South African townships where violent homophobic acts against LGBTI people are causing individuals to remain in the closet out of fear. In a country with supposedly the world’s most advanced constitution that protects the rights of each individual, several organisations and a lot of brave and angry women get together to ensure that Sizakele, Salome, Lorna, Gugu, Zoliswa, Fannyann, Thokozane, Eudy and others do not become just another crime statistic. Director Musa Ngubane is a guest of the festival.
